The official music video for Memory Leaves by Anomalie & Masego stems from a poignant story about a father and daughter relationship that is strengthened by their shared passion for music, but ultimately physically separates them as they go on tour to pursue each of their musical careers.

One of the foundations of this video is the intentional parallel progression between the imagery, narrative, lyrics and musical structure of the track. An example of this can be seen with the airplane as a recurring image throughout the video – with its design varying whenever it appears based on the mood and lyrics of each musical section.

Each vignette was illustrated and animated digitally, while treated with papery textures to feel like a photograph, as if the music video is a series of photographs in a photo album.
